Living With Sciatic Pain?
With our latest clinical trials and comprehensive medical research, we aim to help people experiencing chronic sciatica
Sciatica Facts
- Sciatica is a clinical symptom set—not a standalone diagnosis
- Characterized by radiating pain originating from compression or irritation of the sciatic nerve, the body’s largest nerve.
- Lifetime prevalence ranges from 10% to 40%, with an annual incidence of 1% to 5%, most frequently impacting individuals in their fourth to fifth decades of life.
- People worldwide suffer from sciatic pain.
- The most common treatment, opioids, involves a significant risk of side effects and dependence on the drug.
- We are committed to finding safer and more effective options for those living with sciatic pain.
- Current treatments may help manage symptoms, but not everyone gets adequate pain relief from available options.
Learn more about the study
If chronic sciatic pain is making everyday activities more difficult, you may be interested in learning about a clinical research study evaluating an investigational medication.
It can be hard to treat, and the most common prescription treatment type, opioids, comes with significant risks and side effects.
For people struggling to find safe and effective relief for their pain, new approaches such as therapeutic doses of cannabis and THC are being explored.
We are evaluating the response people have to a clinically validated, therapeutic dose of THC from cannabis extract in eliminating or at least reducing their chronic sciatic pain.
Sciatic Pain Clinical Trial
Our medical experts are conducting a new research studying a cannabis extract of THC compared to placebo in the treatment of patients with chronic lower back pain, when prescription drugs are necessary and previous treatment with non-opioids did not work or could not be continued.
- Participants must:
- Age 18+
- Have persistent sciatic pain (3 months or more)
- Meet certain criteria if currently receiving medication or non-drug therapies
- Consent to medication/drug screening throughout the study

What is Therapeutic Cannabis?
It contains a standardized oral dose of THC. Because THC is a Schedule 1 product, our clinic is licensed by the state of Florida and the DEA to conduct this study in a safe and controlled environment.
