Living With Low Back Pain?
With our latest clinical trials and comprehensive medical research, we aim to help people experiencing chronic low back pain
Low Back Pain Facts
- Low back pain (LBP) is the leading cause of disability worldwide, affecting approximately 80% to 85% of people at some point in their lives. It impacts males and females equally, most frequently peaking between the ages of 35 and 50.
- Mechanical issues account for roughly 90% of cases, while systemic diseases make up only 10%.
- Nonspecific nature: Most mechanical pain is “nonspecific,” meaning it does not stem from a serious underlying disease.
- Muscle strain: The single most frequent cause of acute episodes is simple muscle or ligament strain.
- Current treatments may help manage symptoms, but not everyone gets adequate pain relief from available options.
Learn more about the study
If chronic low back pain is making everyday activities more difficult, you may be interested in learning about a clinical research study evaluating an investigational medication.
It can be hard to treat, and the most common prescription treatment type, opioids, comes with significant risks and side effects.
We are evaluating the response people have to a clinically validated, therapeutic dose of a new investigational product in eliminating or at least reducing their low back pain.
Low Back Pain Clinical Trial
Our medical experts are conducting research studying an investigational product compared to placebo in the treatment of patients with chronic lower back pain, when prescription drugs are necessary and previous treatment with non-opioids did not work or could not be continued.
- Participants must:
- Age 18+
- Have persistent low back pain (3 months or more)
- Meet certain criteria if currently receiving medication or non-drug therapies
- Consent to medication/drug screening throughout the study

Qualified participants may receive:
Study-related medical evaluations and care
New investigational study medication
Study-related procedures and assessments
Compensation for time and travel
There is no cost to participate in the clinical trial, and insurance is typically not required for study-related care.
Participation in studies is voluntary, and all medical attention, care, and treatment are provided at no cost.

What is an investigational product?
An investigational product (IP) is any preventative, therapeutic, diagnostic, or placebo substance being evaluated or used as a reference in a clinical trial. Also referred to as an “experimental drug” or “study drug,” it is the core object of research being tested to determine its safety and efficacy.
Advantages of Participating
Participants in this clinical research study may have the opportunity to:
Access an investigational medication that is not yet widely available.
Receive regular medical evaluations and monitoring from an experienced clinical research team.
Learn more about their low back pain and overall health through study-related assessments.
Help researchers evaluate a potential new treatment option for low back pain
Contribute to medical knowledge that could help people with low back pain in the future.
Access to a new research medicine
A medical expert will provide close attention and supervision
Opportunity to advance chronic pain treatment
Reimbursement for travel and time
